When you open your eyes in the morning, do not set your mind on tasks at hand or the mountain of challenges you face. Instead, set your toes on the floor and find that early morning light. Watch how it dances across the floor chasing away the darkness.
The darkness has wolves, packs of them waiting for the moment when you feel down, have guilt, or it seems you are all alone. They pounce at the very moment any part of you exits the goodness of his light.
Ephesians 6:10-18 says: Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground,
Put on your armor and use what the LORD has given you already. Protect yourself and those around you from the dark things nipping at their toes. You are not alone. If you can shine just a little, all of us shining together can be so bright that our light will become a moment of hope for those in need.
